Edgemoor is an unincorporated community in Chester County, South Carolina, United States. It is located northeast of Chester and southeast of Rock Hill. The community's name is said to have derived from its location on the southern edge of Chester County.
Edgemoor is home to a few small businesses, including a convenience store and gas station. The community also has a post office, a fire department, and a community center.
The area has a long history, dating back to the 18th century when it was settled by Scotch-Irish immigrants. During the Civil War, it was the site of several skirmishes between Union and Confederate forces.
